Dearest friends in the VIP list,

here are the pictures and report for the Exu And Pomba Gira ritual. Today is the most magical day of the year, and I could not be more happy and grateful that you are here to share this day with me!

Exu and Pomba Gira are the most important entities in Kimbanda, one of the ATRs that I practise, which is based mostly in Brazil. These entities represent the union and convergence of energy polarity, feminine and masculine, life and death, expansion and contraction, increase and decrease, etc. Similar to Orisha Eleggua, they master over paths, crossroads, places of human exchange like banks and markets, and walk on the liminal space between the living and the dead, controlling the movement between the two dimensions.

And, please understand that this is not a gender binary at all, it's about energies – they are not human, they transcend any gender, and actually, gender non-conforming, non-binary, and trans people, are all under their loving patronage.

And remember – this is a CLOSED practise, like all ATRs. I would not recommend working with these entities unless you are initiated, and part of the culture. You are invited to participate of their blessing through my work, which is always done with their permission, but doing this on your own is not only cultural appropriation, it is quite risky.

List Of Offerings:

· Black and red candles, all of them anointed with my Master Oil, which is a balanced and powerful combination of most of my magical oils, with a strong emphasis on manifestation, road opening, empowerment, and growth – and that makes it just perfect for this ritual, since they are the most important areas of patronage for these entities.

· Red roses (from the farmers' market) and Red Guava Tree branches (from our garden), representing the healing and empowerment of the green world. Many of the avatars of these two entities are great Yerberos (herbal healers).

· Champagne, these entities' favourite drink.

· Offerings of fresh coconuts, mangos, guavas, and pomegranates, of course from our farmers' market. I wish I could send you all the fragrances of these wonderful fruits!

· Hell Money banknotes, imported from Thailand, and anointed + smoked on my best money oils. They’re under the fruits, it’s not easy to see them but remember that you can open all pics to zoom on details.

· My personal mixture of Rose incense resins, ranging from places like Jordania, Egypt, Greece, and Morocco, and mixed just for Pomba Gira.

There is something very important to notice about purchasing items at the farmers' market, and it is that it's one of the places under the patronage of these entities; this is the home of Oya, of Exu and Pomba Gira, of Ekkekko, and many others.

Once all the offerings are ready on the table, as always, it is time for the prayers; a complete set for each and every participant, focused on the goals of this service: personal empowerment, success, protection on your paths, and all the areas that Exu and Pomba Gira can tend to, which are many – as many as there are different Exus and Pomba Giras!

After that set, another one is recited, honouring the entities and all their avatars (which, for those of you who don't know, are actually in the thousands, and some say in infinite numbers). These are traditional Brazilian prayers – I speak a little Brazilian portuguese, enough to recite the prayers, so doing this is an extra treat to them.

That is all. Offerings will remain at the altar all day, candles will be renewed if needed, and drinks and incense will be renewed several times during the next 24 hours – yes friends, we are staying up all night, celebrating with the Spirits, until the sun comes up tomorrow!

Many Blessings, and may your Noche De Finados (Night Of The Dead) be the most magical of all!
