Dear participants,
here are the pictures and report for the Saint John's Holy Fire group ritual.
In my spiritual traditions (that is, Espiritismo and Canarian Curanderismo), the central element in this work is the power of fire. Usually, this is represented by candles, but in this ritual, we have a very special gift for our beloved Saint John: Dende Oil Lamps!
Dende Oil is essential in all forms of AfroLatin and AfroCaribbean devotion and cooking – after being removed from the market for many years, it became impossible to find in the islands. But, the Spirits have been very kind, and I have found a source that imports it directly from Africa. You can't get better Dende than African Dende! Besides the Dende, each lamp has been improved with:
· Road Opening Oil, to open all the paths for your success, remove obstacles from your life, and bring in opportunities and powerful connections;
· Cleansing Oil, to remove stagnant energy, send away illness and exhaustion, and release all negativity from the past;
· Booster Oil, to bring in a powerful push of new energy to all your projects, to your businesses, to your relationships, to your ability to dream and desire new things for yourself;
· Empowerment Oil, to improve the flow of energy, strengthen your connection to your Higher Self and your Guardian Angel, and stabilize your personal power;
· Attraction Oil, to raise your reputation, and attractive, increase your magnetism, and refine your vibration, so you may attract only the best for yourself.
Around the circle of lamps, two circles of Blessed Salts, one white and one red, were made; these were prepared under the Cuadro's guidance, with a unique custom formula each year. These circles tie together the power of the ritual around you, protecting your energy from negativity, jealousy, and obstacles created by others – more than circles, these are shields, so nobody interferes with your success!
In the center, the censer contains the most fire-like of all resins, in full harmony with the rest of the ritual: Dragon's Blood resin. This is also very special for me, because the Dragon's Blood tree, Dracaena Draco, is the emblem tree of Tenerife, and one of the most magical spirits in our landscape.
As always, the outer circle is reserved for the Spirits' offering of fresh flowers. This time, I have chosen gorgeous white Chrysanthemums, from the farmers' market of course.
After the altar table was set, a set of prayers for Road Opening, Empowerment, Cleansing, and Attraction, plus a Booster set was recited for each and every participant, exactly in the order they were purchased. This aligns with each of the oils used, multiplying their power.
That is it. The lamps will stay lit all day, and after that, all remaining materials will be offered to Exu Okkada, the avatar of Orisha Eleggua who lives in the trash, in exchange for His blessing. Since Eleggua is the Orisha who opens and closes the paths on humankind, his blessing for this kind of work is extremely beneficial.
Many Blessings
Carolina
