Dear participants,

here are the pictures and report for the Fortuna Deluxe, on its first edition dedicated to our beloved Ekeko, Andean god of prosperity!

Those of you who follow me on social media know that in the past three weeks, since the ritual was scheduled, we have been giving extra offerings and care to Ekeko, to align and strengthen the energetic bond we have with him. I have also created a whole new version of the altar, just for him, which combines the traditional ways of his worship, with a little extra Christmas joy!

Ekeko is traditionally worshipped in a clay pot, where all kinds of elements are placed for him. These represent the wishes of the worshipper, but also Ekeko's own riches, which he trades and multiplies in his travels through the world.

Since this is a service focused on general abundance, I have filled the pot with Golden Rice (the same used in all the Fortuna services), chocolate coins (same), and a mixture of over twenty different grains, which we source all through the year in farmers' markets, through wildharvesting, and even through indigenous customers around the world. This mixture's energy is just unmatched!

The clay pot has been surrounded by a golden leaf wreath that I made myself, imitating the laurel used in the mediterranean, a symbol of victory and authority, so all of you are crowned with blessings through the next year. I added a strand of multicolored tinsel, representing the rainbow, and its ability to bring in all your desires.

I also got him a lovely tree ornament in the shape of a key, which has been placed at his feet, so he can use it to unblock the paths of abundance for all participants, open the roads of synchronicity, and bring in opportunities for growth.

Around all this, I placed the regular five golden candles that are used in this service, which as always, have been anointed with the Fortuna oil, which was created just for it. In between the candles, Ekeko himself requested I placed a selection of my favourite gemstones and fossiles, because despite his modern merchant look, he is an ancient deity, and he is the power of the mountains and the Earth. His abundance is rooted in life itself.

Finally, of course, the Tres Reyes incense brings the final touch, with its delicious vanilla and caramel scent – this is handmade by a local shop which specializes in spices, and is just perfect to show Ekeko how much we love him and respect his power!

After the whole table was set up, all candles were lit, and a set of sacred, empowering affirmations were made for each participant, exactly in the order they were purchased – this was another sold out, so that took several hours of continued praying. The candles will stay lit for most of the day, and several servings of incense will be made regularly.

Tomorrow, all remaining materials will be offered to Exu Okkada, the avatar of Orisha Eleggua who lives in the trash, in exchange for His blessing. Since Eleggua is the Orisha who opens and closes the paths on humankind, his blessing for this kind of work is extremely beneficial.

Wishing you a very blessed and magical Yule, Christmas, and New Year,

Carolina
